Demarco represents the refined cream of a modern crop of Jamaica’s most skilled and talented music practitioners. He embodies a new age of cutting-edge artistes, whose ability to intertwine song writing with music production, engineering, and performing, and whose capacity to use these skills seamlessly between Dancehall, Roots Reggae, Hip Hop, and R & B, makes him in constant demand in one role or another. He has either written, produced, or built tracks for some of the world’s most popular figures in music. Top names like singer/rapper Olivia, rapper Styles P and deejay Sean Paul have experienced his production skills, while deejay Bounty Killer and others have put vocals to his cutting lyrics.

Bob Marley and deathbed conversion...he was in intense pain, which changes ones mind state. he was possibly under the influence of powerful painkillers because he was dying of cancer in the hospital. Then, he is visited probably every day by a christian nurse, who through all good intentions, is talking to him about christianity. Then, in a moment of pain and probable delirium, Bob exclaims "jesus take me"...is this what they are calling conversion? just a couple things to think about..

One thing to overstand about the 'white' problem is that white arrogance has at its source the inheritance of power.

During the times of the Christian Monarchs, many clever scientists and philosophers uncovered much of God's wisdom. It only took a few people to do this. Now the rest of white people take pride in the work of their ancestors, falsely attributing this wisdom to their whiteness.

Consider the Germans and Italians. Germany gave the world the printing press, (the internet for its day) and the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci boosted the Italians confidence. Yet look at the disaster those two countries brought on themselves and the rest of the world last century.

America has done some wonderful things, not least this wonderful internet.

Yet other people try and take credit for this, and in their arrogance have disregarded their Christian roots. All the greatest thinkers were Christian, from Darwin, to Descartes, to Galileo. Countless examples.

The reason I point to this, is that I forsee the day that Rastafari becomes a world power for the tremendous efforts of the current generation. I pray that this power does not bring with it the false pride that is currently destroying the west.

Look at how during the 70's and 80's the tiny West Indian cricket team became the world's best. And today, that power has resulted in false pride and endless demands for money when they already earn so much : for simply having fun and entertaining people.

Learn from the faults of the west.
Time will tell.

sure you can...it just takes a really long time, and a white man (like myself) has to wait sometimes years with really messy hair before having dreadlocks...just dont comb, wash it regularly with something clean, dr. bronners soap or something similar...wait. a long time..anyones hair will dread naturally given enough time. Almost all ancient cultures had people with dreadlocks. Ancient celtic people wore dreads, and they were as white as anyone.

Im not in a position to comment on why you should or should not eat meat from a rasta or biblical perspective, but if your concerned about mankind and the whole of creation the production of meat from cattle farms is bad for the environment, the cattle are fed grain that could be fed to hungry people..its a major contributor to world hunger. A tool of babylon for sure.. if your gonna eat it, get it free range or kill it yourself..

I dont know if Beenie Man is a true rasta or not, but he has some good rasta tunes...check 'Selassie' from the Youth Quake record, or Art and Life, from album with the same name..theres some good conscious tunes on 'Many Moods of Moses' as well...
He does have alot of just party dancehall type tunes, and alot of explicit sex and stuff...maybe it just goes with the dancehall thing..he isnt well known for any violent lyrics, especially recently

yes ihi, all things are good as long as they are received with thanksgiving, iani god of abram and issac will not burn fire pon his flock for feeding him self and family. for i would worry bout the wrath of jah if we were to starve our self, which would result in malnourishment and then ""death"". ital eating is not allways an option, but when one can dig in!!! also one of his majestys fav meals was lamb. let us juge with rightious jugement, for babylon has plenty of stone throwers of there own. bless up

I know how you feel InItb, as someone who is mostly Cherokee and part english my faith is often plagued by gossip. My skin "color" changes fairly often there are times i look like the inside of a loaf of white bread other times the outside, but to me it doesnt matter. My soul is Rasta and InI knows Jah forgives and Jah loves. White, Black, Red, Yellow, they are just words LOVE is and LOVE can and will conquer anything. HIM gives me strength not to pass judgment onto those people, but if they ask I always am more than willing to tell them about the path I walk.
